COLLISION 7 PRESS CONFERENCE

  • News
  • Nov 19, 2024

The GLORY COLLISION 7 press conference took place Monday evening at the DPG Offices in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The athletes all shared their thoughts ahead of the biggest kickboxing event of the year which takes place December 7 live from the GelreDome football stadium in Arnhem, the Netherlands.

The main event will see The King vs. The Prince as GLORY Heavyweight World Champion Rico Verhoeven (64-10, 21 KO) faces the number one ranked heavyweight contender Levi Rigters (19-2, 9 KO). It is a rematch of their clash from the GLORY Heavyweight Grand Prix final earlier this year where Verhoeven ultimately won but only after suffering one of the most devastating knockdowns of his career thanks to a Rigters spinning backfist.

Bad blood is the theme of the co-main event as GLORY Light Heavyweight World Champion Tarik Khbabez (51-11-1, 28 KO) defends his title against GLORY Light Heavyweight Grand Prix winner & number one contender Donegi Abena (30-10, 10 KO). This is the trilogy fight between these foes with everything at stake. The score will finally be settled in what has been one of the most heated rivalries in kickboxing history.

The rest of the main card is littered with GLORY superstars, former champions, and top rising talents. Fan favourite Bahram Rajabzadeh (69-4, 61 KO) meets newcomer Daniel Stefanovski (34-5, 25 KO), former champ Sergej Maslobojev (39-7, 24 KO) and top prospect Stefan Latescu (17-4, 8 KO) clash, the explosive Cem Caceres (17-1, 14 KO) faces number one French light heavyweight Pascal Toure (20-7, 7 KO), heavyweight power puncher Ionut Iancu (30-9, 12 KO) takes on Soufian Laidouni (36-4-1, 18 KO), and Mory Kromah (30-2-1, 18 KO) collides with Milos Cvjeticanin (11-2, 8 KO) in an absolute barnburner.

The GLORY COLLISION 7 preliminary card is one of the most stacked prelims in GLORY history with several PPV worthy fights featured.

Headlining will be a fight years in the making as local rivals Tayfun Ozcan (87-10-3, 28 KO) and Younes Smaili (41-3, 19 KO) finally lock horns after years of trading words across social media.

Former GLORY champion Endy Semeleer (36-3, 18 KO) meets ‘The Matrix’ Jay Overmeer (30-7, 16 KO) for a third and final time. The two welterweights are among the best in the world in their division and always bring entertainment.

Elsewhere on the prelims, former title contender Serkan Ozcaglayan (46-10, 36 KO) goes head to head with in-form Frenchman Ramy Deghir (7-1, 1 KO), returning slugger Barkouch (45-7-2, 5 KO) meets newcomer Oleh Pryimachov (15-5, 5 KO), and the unpredictable Ayoub Bourass (14-2, 4 KO) returns against Anass Ahmidouch-Fatah (33-5-1, 13 KO) in an exciting bout to start the night.

COLLISION 7 will be available to watch live exclusively on Videoland in the Netherlands, DAZN in France & Belgium, and Bally Live & Stadium across the United States & Canada. For full global broadcast listings, please visit GLORYKickboxing.com.
